In December 2020 Hamlin Fistula UK was selected to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2020, the UK’s largest matched-funding campaign.

We are delighted to let our supporters know that thanks to your generosity, we beat our goal of enabling Hamlin’s hero health workers to provide fistula surgeries for 20 women in Ethiopia – and have funded surgeries for 30 women!

Thanks to the generosity of you, our supporters, we raised a fantastic £15,307, changing 30 lives forever.

We exceeded our fundraising goal and raised an amazing £10,307 online during the campaign week, which has now unlocked a further £5,000 in match funding.

This is such an exciting result and shows the impact and strength of our supporter community – thank you.

We also want to say a special thank you to our two match funders for the appeal – two charitable organisations, including EthiopiAid, whose matching funds helped us raise even more for women in Ethiopia.
