Hamlin Fistula UK is delighted to have won “Best Newcomer” in the 2019 Big Give Christmas Challenge Awards.

In December 2019 Hamlin Fistula UK was selected to participate in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019, the UK’s largest matched-funding campaign.

This was Hamlin Fistula UK’s first ever digital fundraising appeal, and thanks to the generosity of Hamlin Fistula UK supporters we raised a fantastic £9,511 online to treat fistula patients at Yirgalem Regional Fistula Hospital in Southern Ethiopia.

The Big Give commended Hamlin Fistula UK’s work establishing our new social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as a new e-newsletter to bring supporters closer to our work in Ethiopia describing it as “incredible work”.

The Big Give have awarded Hamlin Fistula UK a prize of £1,500 which will support our work in Ethiopia even further as we work towards Hamlin’s goal of Ending Fistula Forever.
